Hello Babytime friends!

Wow! Time has flown by and I have missed you all. I know how fast babies grow so I hope you are enjoying every minute – even the tricky ones.

Don’t forget to pack books as you go out and about this summer. Summer brings many opportunities for sharing together- under a tree, at the park, on the beach, in line at a restaurant, in the car, on an airplane, etc. All those songs and rhymes can come in handy at these places, too.

Have a wonderfully fantastic summer and I look forward to seeing you and your baby again soon!

Cozy Up Together!

4:53 am November 11th, 2008

Hello Friends!

As the cold weather is settling in around you, take time to cozy up with and good book a the little one(s) in your life. Baby brain research has shown that the connection made between caregivers and infants through touching, snuggling, reading, rhyming and singing makes brain pathways form quicker and better than with a fancy toy.

So not only will you create a lasting connection with your child, but you will be warm, happy and helping stimulate your baby’s brain in a positive way.

Happy reading (and snuggling)!

Babytime this February

5:03 am February 5th, 2008

Welcome to Babytime Fun! There are many opportunities to share in my programs this month.

If you haven’t yet experienced Babytime, I invite you to join the fun at an “Open to the Public” session on Tuesdays at the Red Balloon Bookshop (10:15) or Fridays at Rolly Pollies (11:15). If you prefer a smaller, more intimate setting with hand’s-on fun, please see my class schedule . There are still a few spaces available.

I am also sharing with preschoolers at Mendota Elementary for one more Wednesday (6th) at 9:30am. I’d love to see you there!

If you are looking for a new option for a Birthday party. Please inquire about my Booktime Birthday parties. Babies and children alike will love the early literacy fun tucked inside the stories, puppets, rhymes and songs.

Please visit often as a new Book Review will be posted soon, and pictures and stories I’ve gathered over the past 6 years are about to come alive on this site.

Happy reading, rhyming, singing and hugging with your little one!
